Define a Place - Pre-Production
The cafeteria of Hunter College is,
ideally, a perfect place to shoot to define a space. Largely because
of its large enough spaces to shoot and move around with. There is
also many windows to look around, allowing us to gain reflections
from the sun or shooting in black & white filter to capture the
gloomish of a cloudy day.
Because of this, I have the idea someone
looking for a place to sit down to do their work or to eat, all the
while looking for a window seat. I have in mind to shoot the short in
black & white or shoot it half in B&W and then in color.
- The second shot would be a POV shot of the person looking for a seat to sit down.
- The third shot is the person deciding to get something to eat or drink.
- The fourth shot is the person getting something to eat or drink.
- The fifth shot is the person paying for their drink or food.
- The sixth shot is the person going to sit down in a spot they see is open only for someone else to take the seat.
- The seventh shot would be finding a seat only for another person to sit and them reacting to it.
- The eighth shot is the other person allowing the person to take their seat.
- The ninth shot would be the person enjoying their seat by the window, looking outward.
- The final shot is a zooming out shot of sorts or a blackout.
